Saw these guys actually in store almost a year ago now and I've moved all the way up to Yorkshire. Remembered some of their stock and how it would make a brilliant Christmas gift and ordered it quite late on the 22nd, it arrived on the 24th, well packaged, exactly as ordered and most importantly, on time 🤣

As others have mentioned, staff is unfriendly. I spent over 200 pounds here this week and planned to return many times during an extended stay in Glastonbury as I loved it. My first experience was okay and the associate told me to return “anytime” (once they realized how much I was buying perhaps), however during my second visit I was super excited to show my husband and children the store (they have been going to apothecary, herbalist and metaphysical stores with me for years). I told my daughter not to touch the sand on the log as it was arranged beautifully but was showing her the crystals on the outer perimeter and a staff member with glasses rudely scolded us. I will not be returning. During both visits I felt like I was being judged and watched as if I was about to shoplift and it was overall a very strange energy. Upon entering the store I said hello to each employee as I passed them, hoping they would ask if I needed help as I did have questions, and they looked right through me.

High quality products at excellent prices. The customer service is exceptional and Jami was very kind and patient in answering my many questions. I'll be a repeat customer.

I swear by the protection aura. I’ve used this for a few years now and used countless bottles. It honestly makes a massive difference to my energy every time I spray it, I feel lighter. One day I’ll visit!!!

I'm not into spiritual stuff or esotericism but I was intrigued by this shop. I immediately was attracted by the good smell from the street. And I'm glad I entered inside because it's like stepping into another world. The shop reminded me of the movie Practical Magic with all the ingredients, candles and witchy vibes. I love it! They sell mostly ingredients to make "potions" or spiritual stuff. I'm not really well informed so I don't know much. But they also have sages, books about witchcraft, tarot cards, herbal tea and natureal ingredients you can use for cosmetics or natural remedies. It's a nice shop if you're into spiritual stuff but also if you like spooky and witchy vibes.

I have only ever had a positive experience at start child! Everytime we go to the shop I come away happy, the staff are so friendly, and helpful, and the shop itself is clean, warm, and inviting! Recently I had an issue with Royal Mail delaying a parcel I ordered from star child, just one email to Jamieson is all it took to sort the issue, 2/3 days later the package arrived safe and sound. Honestly everyone who works there deserves to be praised! I would wholeheartedly recommend start child to anyone for herbs, witchcraft, candles, incense, and everything that goes with it!

Anytime we are within 1 hour of the place, we will make a detour to go. My dog always just falls asleep on the floor and we can do out little shopping. As you can see by the photos, amazing selection of candles which are affordable. Good for essential oils, herbs for medicine and tea, books on witchcraft, healing, medicine and all sorts. Staff are lovely too!

My family and I visited Glastonbury for my sisters birthday, we stumbled upon Star Child and it was a brilliant find. Perfect for essential oils, herbs and combining teas, not to mention candles! Beautiful products and calming interior! Worth a visit. Very friendly staff as well!
